Lois Allene Hale, born on January 1, 1939, in Hackleburg, Alabama, departed from this world on October 3, 2024. Surrounded by her loving family, she went home to be with the Lord leaving a legacy of love, compassion, and joyous memories.
Lois was a treasured wife to her devoted husband, Richard M. Hale. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with cherished moments and warm laughter. Lois is also survived by her three children: Angela (Thomas) Goodwin, Kimberly (Tony) Griffin, and Patrick (Linda) Pascale, and her sister Faye Hale, each carrying forth her spirit of kindness and devotion. Her family blossomed with the addition of seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride. Lois adored her beloved pets, Pepper, Sammy, and Patches, who filled her days with companionship and love.
An accomplished woman, Lois found immense fulfillment in serving her community. She played a pivotal role in establishing the "Catch a Rainbow" program in 1988, offering young children the chance to experience the joy of fishing for rainbow trout at Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery in Jamestown, Kentucky. Her dedicated efforts in this initiative earned her a special recognition with the "A Point of Light" award from First Lady Barbara Bush, a testament to her commitment to enriching the lives of others.
Lois embraced life with a passion for her interests, which included a deep love for her Christian faith, decorating her home with warmth and beauty, and caring for animals. Her nurturing spirit extended not only to her family but to all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Lois now rests alongside her beloved parents, Father James Theodore Hall and Mother Effie Lee Strutts, and her four brothers and two sisters, all of whom she cherished deeply.
A visitation will be held on October 10, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 4:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home & Crematory, located at 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, Texas.
Lois Allene Hale will be remembered as a guiding light, whose love radiated warmth and kindness. Her family and friends will carry forward her memory, cherishing the love and lessons she shared throughout her remarkable life.
