Lloyd Geier

June 5, 1927 — February 10, 2011

Lloyd D. Geier, age 83, of New Braunfels, Texas, died on Thursday, February 10, 2011. He was born on June 5, 1927, the son of Michael and Lottie Geier. Lloyd served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring after 23 years of service as a Master Sergeant. He was a member of the Alamo As Model A Club. He was the go-to guy for other Model A people who had questions or problems with their cars. He traveled the United States from coast to coast and north to south in his Model A. He was an important part of our family. His kindness, patience and sense of humor will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah in 1991, his son Michael in 1969, his parents, his bother, Joe (Dorothy) Geier, and his sister, Marjorie Leable. He is survived by his nieces, Lynn Geier, Sharon (Doug) Murphy, Diane (Wayne) Ballard, Patty Leable, great nieces and nephew, and by his loving companion and special friend, Trudy Lonsberry and her family, Barbara Caraway, Mike Lonsberry, Rick (Holly) Lonsberry and Charlie (Janet) Lonsberry and their children. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel . Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the American Cancer Society and the Alzheimers Association will be appreciated.
