Lillian Mckenzie

Gone to rest, Lillian S McKenzie on Sunday February 25, 2018. Eldest of four daughters, Margaret Falconer, Winifred O'Connor (deceased) and Elizabeth McDowall ("another bloody lassie") of Neal and Lillian S MacLean, she was born in Troon, Ayrshire, Scotland on November 1, 1939. In 1965 she was sponsored by an U. S. Airforce, USAF, Flight surgeon and his wife to move to Oakridge Tennessee. After a short stay there, she was again invited to move to San Antonio where she found occupation in the medical and golf fields. She became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1972. In 1973 Lillian met her future husband, Thomas M McKenzie, An USAF Pilot, and after a long courtship they were married in 1981 and moved to Cupertino, California. Twenty years later they moved to San Antonio. Lillian loved Scots, people, and Cruising, with an infectious laugh and she made many friends wherever she lived. In return many also loved her including her many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. Interment will be on Monday, March 19th, 1:00 P.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery after a Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma, Texas at 11:00 A.M.
