Leslie Hill

Leslie, "Les", Wayne Hill went home to be with the Lord on August 1, 2018. His wit and giving nature will be greatly missed. He was born May 19, 1945 to Morrace W. Hill and Jewel A. Gourley Hill in Blanco, TX. Les was a 1963 graduate of Harlandale HS. He served three years in the United States Army and worked thirty-five years for Air Force Civil Service at Kelly AFB and Randolph AFB in aircraft sheet metal and as a project officer on the T-37 and T-38 aircraft. He was a member and Deacon of Cibolo Valley Baptist Church. Les is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Gloria Gilley Hill, daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Roger Gordy, son and daughter-in-law, James and Reyna Hill, grandchildren, Shelby, Brody, and John. Les is survived by sisters, Myrna Montgomery, Diane Reid, brother-in-law, Nick Reid, sister-in-laws, Elizabeth Tessman , Brenda Gilley , Barbara Gilley , brother-in-law Raymond Gilley , numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. There will be visitation on Sunday, August 12th from 4 to 8 P M and service on Monday, August 13th at 10 A M at Schertz Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Cibolo Valley Baptist Church Building Fund, 5500 FM 1103, Schertz , TX 78108.
