Leroy Muehlstein, 82, was born in Moulton, TX August 20, 1936, and passed away December, 17, 2018, with his family by his side in Seguin, TX. Leroy was President & CEO of Hermann Sons Life for 20 years. He also served as President of National Fraternal Congress of America in 2001, and was on the Board of Directors for Boysville in San Antonio, as well as a devoted past President and member of the San Antonio Optimist Club. His favorite past times were visiting with family, playing his accordion, playing dominoes, feeding his cattle on the family farm at Moulton & deer hunting. In his later years he would only go deer hunting when a grandson could go with him and field dress the deer for him. He loved traveling, visited all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Austria, Japan and several cruises. He visited many Hermann Sons Lodges during his 20 years as President. He was preceded in death by his parents Emil & Matilda Muehlstein. Survived by his wife of 61 years Linda Breitschopf Muehlstein, sons Scott (Mary), Glen (Rhonda) & Robert (Mary Ellen). Grandchildren Chance (Lesa), Katie Segner (Otto), Ethan, Sarah, Josh, Megan Scheurer (Rick), Zach, Lyndsey & Matt (Meghan), Great Grand Children, Madelyn, Marshall, Mary, Milly and step-grandchildren, Sister Laverne Hajek & Many nieces, nephews & cousins. A Visitation will begin on Friday December 21, 2018 at 5pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Schertz Funeral Home - 2217 FM 3009, Schertz Texas 78154. The Funeral Mass will take place in Moulton Texas at St. Joseph's Catholic Church 601 North Pecan Street, Moulton Texas 77975 at 10am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Special thanks to his loving care givers from Caring Senior Service - Andrea and Marissa, Nurse Lacy and the Dr's and Nursing staff at Seguin Regional Hospital.
