Leo Ladd

Leo (Papa) Watts Ladd, born on December 4, 1938 in Houston, TX, passed away on January 16, 2019 in Cotulla, TX at the age of 80 doing what he loved, hunting.

Leo graduated from Sam Houston High School in San Antonio, TX and worked at Rath Meat Packing Company for his entire career. He was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church and now attending First Presbyterian Church. Leo was a loving husband, father, and a proud Papa to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He spent his days hunting, fishing, and enjoying the company of many friends. Leo was unselfish with his time and talent and was always there to lend a helping hand.

Leo is survived in death by his wife, Mary Phillips Ladd; brother John Ladd (wife Shirley); daughters, Lynde Todd (husband Mark) and Cindy Priesmeyer (husband Mike), and son Mark Ladd (wife Debbie). Leo is survived by his grandchildren, Rachel Sanders (husband Mike), Derek Cornelius, Matt Cornelius (wife Amanda), Rebecca Priesmeyer, Spencer Hardy (husband William), and Reis Ladd. Also, great grandchildren, Meredith, Olivia, Kaley, Hailie, and Preston in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends that all knew him as Papa. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 9:30am immediately followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30am at the Schertz Funeral Home in Schertz, TX.
