Lee Haecker

Lee Jay Haecker was born March 26, 1945 to Benno and Leonie Haecker and passed into eternal rest on April 14, 2017.

On April 22, 1978 he married Debra Haecker and they eventually settled on his family's land in the Zuehl community where he enjoyed farming, raising animals, gardening, and being near his family. He was a member of the Bexar and Germania Bowling Clubs where he enjoyed bowling and being with friends and family. He also enjoyed dancing, fishing, and going to the casinos.

Lee was preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers Elroy and Benno Haecker Jr., sister Mary Ann Dylla, grandchildren Jessica and Jonathan Coppinger, and great-grandson Barrett Coppinger.

He is survived by his wife Debra, daughter Kristi Carnes (husband Kenneth), son Kyle Haecker (wife Tonya), grandchildren Rory Haecker and Logan King, sister Lucille Nolen, Ruby Golla (husband Melvin), Carolyn Cohu, Elaine Meckel (husband Richard), as well as many nieces, nephews and many loving family members.

Visitation with the family will be held from 5:00-9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 F.M. 3009, Schertz, TX 78154.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Redeemer United Church, 7415 Gin Road, Marion, TX 78124.
