Lawrence "Larry" Everett Trout, passed away on October 28, 2018 at the age of 90. He was born on December 8, 1927 in Iola, Kansas to Walter and Barbara Trout. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorothy Leigh. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Trout whom he was married to for 60 years, his brother Herb Trout of Atlanta, GA; his son Damon and his wife Michelle and their daughters Kali, Kari and Katlin and his son Alan and his wife Tamara and their son Taylor.
Larry proudly served in the United States Army during WWII and in the Air Force for both the Korean and Vietnam Wars. In addition, Larry was an instrument pilot instructor for 12 years at Randolph Air force Base. After 21 years of service and retirement from the Air Force as a Lt. Colonel, Larry graduated from Southwest Texas State with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Arts. He taught 6th grade math and 7th and 8th grade industrial arts at New Braunfels Middle School for 15 years.
Larry truly had a passion for helping others whether it be his family, neighbors, students or the summers he spent working with at risk children.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 10:15AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors.
