Lawrence Swetz

Lawrence (Larry) Charles Swetz, 84, of San Antonio, TX passed away on Aug. 21, 2016, at Emerald Oaks from natural causes. Larry was born in Sibel, Wisconsin on August 5, 1932 to Agnes and Albert Swetz.

Lawrence (Larry) married the love of his life Charlotte Winch in 1952, and together they'd had four children, Cynthia (Gary) Granroos, Gregory (Daniela) Swetz, David (Renee) Swetz, Michelle (Tom) Kizewski. He faithfully served his family and his country as they travelled the world during his service with the US Air Force. He was a shining example of exemplary work ethic and patriotic duty which he passed down to his children and grandchildren. Larry is survived by his children, grandchildren Laura Swetz, Crystal (Swetz) Rommen with husband Michael, Sarah (Swetz) Huang with husband Chuck, Austin Swetz, Adam Kizewski with wife Burcu, Shaun Kizewski with wife Amber; great grandchildren Kristina and Kaden Kizewski, Ellie Grace and Eli James Kizewski, and Tobias Rommen; siblings Sylvester Swetz (Elaine) and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife Charlotte and brother Harold Swetz. Larry will long be remembered by those who love him for his giving manner, love for his country and loving devotion to his family. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 10:00AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors.
