Laura E. Nave, born June 16, 1931 to Adam and Mary Lanham, was called home on October 22, 2009. She is survived by children; Cindy Hernandez (husband, Manny), Nan Johnston and Gary Nave (wife, Kim); brother, Nelson (wife, Carol); ex-spouse, Charles, plus 2 nieces and 1 nephew. She is also survived by her pride and joy; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Laura has made many friends whom she has admired greatly. Special long time friends are Dorothy, Linda and Betty. Laura, as her family and friends knew, was a Bingo fanatic. If not at home she could be found at the closest bingo hall. As per her request, the family will not be holding a memorial service at this time. Her ashes will be laid to rest at Memory Gardens in Corpus Christi. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the San Antonio Humane Society at 4804 Fredericksburg Rd, San Antonio, TX 78229. The family would like to thank the nursing staff and doctors at NEBH SIC for their compassion and tender care that was given to Laura and the family during her final days.
