Larry Zen

Larry Allen Zen, born on September 16, 1955, passed away on August 7, 2011, at the age of 55. He was preceded in death by his father, Angelo Zen, and his son, Shane Zen. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Katie; children, Ember Benson and her husband, Casey, Brandy Copley, Kelly Zen, Crissy Mabery, Rick Mabery and his wife, Meleese, Jeff Mabery, Christopher Zen and his wife, Megan; mother, Rosemary Zen; brothers, Louis Zen, Raymond Zen and his wife, Susan; sister, Debbie Lynn Zen; 9 grandchildren, with 1 on the way, and a host of friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 13, 2011, from 5:00PM until 9:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Sunday, August 14, 2011, from 9:00AM until 9:00PM, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Monday, August 15, 2011, at 10:15AM for an 11:00AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 16075 N. Evans Rd., Selma, TX 78154. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery with United States Navy Honors.
