Larry Anthony Rodriguez passed away on October 31, 2024 at the age of 88. Born June 17, 1936, in San Antonio, TX, he was the cherished son of Larry and Josephine Rodriguez.

Larry was a proud graduate of Fox Tech High School, where he served as a drum major. He honorably served in the U.S. Navy for four years, which ignited his love for travel. He spent his career with Western and Delta Airlines, allowing for more adventures. Among the many countries he visited, Argentina held a special place in his heart.

Larry was a man of diverse talents and interests. He was an avid gardener, known for his vegetable garden and beautifully landscaped lawn. He had a talent for cooking, and loved to share his dishes with friends and family. A skilled handyman and antique collector, Larry’s home was filled with treasures that reflected his interests, and appreciation for history and craftsmanship. Among his most prized possessions were his player piano, classic movie and film collection, and railroad train models and memorabilia. He had a deep passion for music.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Frank and Alice. He is survived by his sister, Doris

Castilleja, nephew Tony (Dawn), nieces Patty (Mando), Crissy (Rodney), and Mariah, as well as many others who loved him dearly. The family extends special appreciation to the staff at Juniper Village for the compassionate care they provided to Larry.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 17th from 2:30-5:30 pm at Schertz Funeral Home. Burial, with military honors, will take place at Fort Sam Houston, Shelter #2, on November 18th at 1:15 pm.
