L Taylor Jr

SMSgt L.C. Taylor, Jr. USAF (Ret) born on December 2, 1930, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2020 at the age of 89. L.C. proudly served in the United States Air Force for 27 years. He joined the military at the age 18. Through dedication and hard work, he retired as a Personnel Superintendent in 1975. During his retirement years, L.C. took up hobbies such as fishing, gardening and traveling. He enjoyed the company of family and friends, and like a true Texan, he appreciated a good steak, cold margaritas and country music.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Lola Taylor; grandson, Jonathan Collins.

L.C. is survived by his loving wife, Bernarda Taylor; children, Diane Taylor Martin and her husband Ed of Green Valley, AZ, James Taylor and his wife Wendy of Huntersville, NC, Lynda Collins and her husband Glenn of Matthews, NC, and Monica Taylor Fegett and her husband Cliff of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Joshua Collins and his wife Melissa, and Elena Fegett; great-grandchildren, Jameson and Emma Collins.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 10, 2020 from 3:00PM-7:00PM with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00PM at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 12:30PM at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel followed by a private burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery
