Kymora Kent, 31, passed away on October 23, 2024 in Selma TX.
Born to Keith and Yumi Kent on October 5, 1993 as an Air Force dependent at Yong San Air Base in South Korea, but raised as a Air Force dependent in only two cities… Hampton, VA and Schertz, TX. She graduated from Clemons High School, and took college courses at UTSA and Texas State University.
Kymora is survived by her two cats, Gypsy & Gary, who were her world. She loved going on vacations, but she hated leaving her cats behind. The trip to and from the vacation destination was always spent thinking about and worrying about her two babies. When she was back home with them by her side, she was at peace and with joy.
Her second love was the vacations at National Parks. It wasn’t just going to the parks, her love was hiking the hidden gem trails and the hardest trails. In a six year span of hiking, she hiked at 25 national Parks (and countless State Parks). Her goal was to hike all 63 National Parks. Her father will ensure her ashes reach the remaining 38 parks.
After working several jobs, she finally found true passion and joy working at an assisted living home in Schertz helping the elderly. She absolutely loved going to do her job and provide care and love to the residents. She was a favorite among the residents.
She was loved dearly by her friends, long time friends as well as new friends. She always remained loyal to her friends. Sometimes life was difficult, but Kymora never stopped loving those she loved and cared for. She had the ability to make all her friends laugh. She had a great, positive, and lasting impact on many, many friends.
Kymora was an only child to her parents. There is no word for parents who lose their only child. But she gave her parents the beautiful gift of being their child for 31 years. It is 31 years her parents will never forget and will cherish for the rest of their lives.
Kymora has left this earth, but her impact on family and friends will be everlasting.
