Korinne Joy Taylor, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend passed away unexpectedly on June 21, 2019 at the age of 39.
Korinne is survived by her loving husband, Trenton Taylor; her precious children, Braeden, Benjamin, and Kellen, her parents Gregory and Beverly Doty; and her two sisters: Kristin and Karlie.
Korinne was born in Hartford, Connecticut on April 9, 1980. She graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. In 1998, she met the love of her life and best friend, Trenton. They were married on July 12, 2003. On June 15, 2005, June 30, 2008 and July 8, 2009 respectively, she welcomed three beautiful sons, who were the most important part of her life.
From the time she was a little girl, Korinne knew what she wanted to be when she grew up. She was a nurse for the VA for over 18 years and loved working with all her fellow nurses and the veterans. She enjoyed watching her boys play soccer, taking family trips and going to church with her family. Korinne touched many lives in her time here on earth. She mentored many nurses, gave endless advice and loved passionately. She brought happiness to all who knew her and always had a smile for everyone. Her middle name ‘Joy’ shined through in every aspect of her life. She never met a stranger and was always willing to help anyone in need. Her husband and her boys were her world, and she loved them fiercely. She will be so greatly missed by her family and friends, but her light shines on through all the lives she touched.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on June 28, 2019 at Schertz United Methodist Church with a burial to follow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help cemetery in Selma. There will be a food reception following the burial. Flowers, donations and condolences may be received at the church.
