Kermit Harborth
July 17, 1946 — September 3, 2009
Dr. Kermit Harborth DVM, Retired Major, U.S. Air Force Reserves, age 63 of Marion, passed away September 3, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy & Hildegard (Rathman) Harborth. Kermit is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Dot Harborth of Marion, TX; sons, Karl Harborth & wife, Sondra of Erie, KS and Chris Harborth & wife, Michelle of Marion; grandchildren, Konner and Ava; father-in-law, Raymond Jentsch & wife, Rose of New Braunfels; brother-in-law, Bertram Jentsch & wife, Barbara of New Braunfels; nieces, Keri and Sheri and nephew Terry; lifelong friend, Charlene Wunderlich and numerous other relatives and dear friends. He was a member of the First Protestant Church of New Braunfels. Dr. Harborth lovingly cared for all creatures great and small in Schertz and surrounding communities for 31 years as owner of the Schertz Animal Hospital. He was also an active member of the Randolph Metrocom Rotary, Guadalupe County Fair Association, Guadalupe Valley Pecan Classic, and was a Lifetime Member of the San Antonio Livestock Exposition Calf Scramble Committee. Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until 9:00PM on Monday, September 7, 2009 at the Schertz Funeral Home with the family available from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the First Protestant Church in New Braunfels, 172 W. Coll Street, New Braunfels, Texas 78130 (830) 609-7729, with Reverend Daryl Higgins, Pastor Richard Carse & Pastor Ron Zipp officiating. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.Pallbearers; Ronnie Wunderlich, Wesley Odell, Kenneth Wunderlich, Danny Williams, Jim Koenig, Woody Woodruff, Bert Jentsch, and Dr. Jake Wells.
