Kent Johnson

December 12, 1950 — March 21, 2015

Kent E. Johnson, born on December 12, 1950, in Oklahoma City, OK, passed away on March 21, 2015, in San Antonio, TX, at the age of 64. Kent owned a residential construction and tile dealership for over 30 years. In his spare time he played piano, went fishing, watched black and white movies, and cheered on his favorite college basketball teams, the University of Texas Longhorns and the Kansas Jayhawks. He loved people, especially his family, and being a grandpa, spending time gardening with his grandson. His mother, Eileen Johnson, passed away on March 25, 2015, four days after her son. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Marian H. Johnson; children, Erin Johnson and her husband, Mike Garcia, and Rebekah Franki and her husband, Marcus; grandsons, Griffin Garcia and Vincent Franki; father, Patrick H. Johnson; sister, Karen Hobbs and her husband, Byron. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015, at 2:00PM, at the Genesis Lutheran Church, 15946 Highway 29, Buchanan Dam, TX, 78609. All services will conclude in the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kent's name to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, South Central Texas Chapter online donations.
