Kenneth Jarzombek

Kenneth Raymond Jarzombek, born on February 23, 1948, went to be with the Lord after his battle with cancer on May 7, 2016 at the age of 68. Kenneth retired in 2011 after working as an A/C & Refrigeration Specialist for almost 40 years, eventually retiring from UT Health Science Center. He was an avid farmer on his family farm in Poth, TX spending many Saturday's there with his father and brothers when he was younger. He then enjoyed passing down stories and memories to his children and grandchildren. Family farm days have become a cherished tradition. Kenneth enjoyed everything and anything that had to do with his wife, daughters, son-in-laws and grandchildren; he was a true family man. Strong in his Faith, Kenneth was a parishioner of St. Jerome's Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent & Elizabeth (Lyssy) Jarzombek; sister-in-law, Janice Jarzombek. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Bernice Jarzombek; daughters, Nicole Forsberg with husband Jason of Cibolo, TX, Kristin Welch with husband Nick, Erin Gaston with husband Bryan, both of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Eleanor, Colette and Faith Forsberg, Connor, Corinne and Morgan Welch, Mitchell Gaston and baby Gaston; siblings, Marvin Jarzombek, Mary Kay Allen, Emily Jean Pollok with husband Rudy, Jerald Jarzombek with wife Earlene, Elaine Engelhardt with husband Donnie; in-laws William and Mary Mainz, Charlene Mainz, Gerald and Karen Mainz, and James and Barbara Mainz, and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and more. Kenneth will always be remembered as a loving husband, caring father, supportive brother and brother-in-law, playful grandfather, and a very special friend. The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church from 5:00PM-7:00PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, in Selma, TX, at 11:00 AM with interment to follow at Selma Cemetery No. 1. Father Dennis Jarzombek officiating. Serving as Pallbearers: Vincent Jarzombek, Stephen Jarzombek, Nicholas Engelhardt, Brian Engelhardt, Jake Jarzombek, Reed Mainz. Honorary Pallbearers are Connor Welch and Mitchell Gaston.
