Kay Kunka

Kay Alan Kunka, 69, of Marion, TX, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012. Born on September 24, 1942 in Shattuck, OK. He was the son of the late Frank Karl Kunka and Ruby Steinert Gadberry. Kay grew up in Follett, TX and graduated from Texas Tech University in 1965. He was a computer systems analyst before he retired in 2007. He served in the United States Navy from 1967-1969. He was an avid stamp and coin collector and loved to read. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sharon Dee Ivie Kunka; daughter, Kathryn Kunka Bechtel and husband, Gerald Bechtel, daughter, Sheryl Kunka Levingston and husband, Ross Levingston, and grandchildren, Carrie Wilbert, Ryan Bechtel, Quinton and Payton Levingston; brothers, Gary Kunka, Glen Kunka and sister, Fran Kunka Winn; and various nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Follett, Tx. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Follett Educational Corporation, c/o Follett Interbank, Box 8, Follett, TX 79034.
