Kathryn Wetz

Kathryn Wieding Wetz passed away on April 12, 2011 at her home in San Antonio at the age of 79. Kathryn was born on January 15, 1932 to Robert Wieding and Louise Wolfsholl Wieding. She was content with the simple pleasures in life and never wanted for anything. Kathryns passion in life was her family"Husband, children and grandchildren. She was warm and loving and dedicated her life to her family. In her younger years, she was an avid hunter, fisher and took pride in gardening. She was always available to her family, whether they needed her recipes, needed her to tie sausage casings or just to play cards and board games. Kathryn is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton of 53 years, her parents, her older sister Wionna Grobe, her younger brother, Robert Wieding Jr and longtime friend Trudy Sullivan. She is survived by her children, Clifton Wetz Jr of San Antonio, son, John and wife, Dianna Wetz of Marion, son, Scott and wife, Susan Wetz of New Braunfels and daughter, Kathy Dawn and husband, Mark Real of St. Hedwig. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Adam, Amber, Cody Wetz, Jordan, Jacqueline, Jessica Wetz, Kolby and Jacob Wetz and Collin and Kaitlyn Real. She is also survived by one brother, Rueben Wieding and wife, Dorothy, brother-in-laws, Nathan Grobe and Wesley Smithers and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, April 15, 2011 at St John Lutheran Church in Marion, TX. Interment will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
