Kathleen Wuest

Kathleen "Kathy" Wuest was born on October 26, 1948, in San Antonio, Texas to parents, Arvel Sherrell and Mildred Gause. She passed away on January 21, 2020 at her home in Garden Ridge, Texas.

Kathy was a volunteer fire fighter for the Bracken Volunteer Fire Department and also drove a bus for many years; including 9 years as a bus driver for Comal ISD. She loved to travel, go dancing and was a great cook as well!

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Arvel Sherrell and Mildred Gause; daughter, Shannon Wuest and her beloved in-laws. She is survived by her loving husband of 51+ years, Dennis; son, Kevin Wuest with wife Jill; daughter, Kimberly Peterson with husband Lowell; grandson, Jacob Wuest; sisters, Patti Olivia, Carleen Barr, Gwen Barr and Susanne Odenwelder with husband Kenny; brothers, Ben Barr, Lonnie Sherrell, Rick Sherrell with wife Brenda; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Kathy was a great wife, mother and Oma. She will be dearly missed by her family.

The family will be receiving friends for visitation from 5PM-7PM on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00AM on Monday, January 27, 2020 at Bracken United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Bracken Community Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make a memorial donation in Kathleen's name, to Hope Hospice or Bracken United Methodist Church.
