Kathleen Petrequin

Kathleen Ann Petrequin, age 56, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 30, 2019. She was born on April 6, 1963 in Cleveland, Ohio to James and Lucille Davidson. She spent most of her childhood as a military brat, with the most memorable assignment being in Belgium. While in Belguim, Kathy attended SHAPE High School and excelled in numerous sports. Kathy returned to the states to attend The University of Texas at Austin where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. After many years, Kathy came back to Schertz to raise her two girls and begin her teaching career until her diagnosis of early onset dementia. She suffered with the disease for 8 years until her passing. Kathy will forever be remembered for her goofy sense of humor, ability to make kids laugh with her Donald Duck impression, and caring spirit. She loved her dogs and collecting turtles. Kathy was preceded in death by her father, James J. Davidson. She is survived by her spouse, Marggi Monsees; daughters, Allie and Kacie; mother, Lucille Davidson; sister, Loretta Davidson; brothers, Gregory and James Davidson; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at the family home for family members. In lieu of flowers consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
