Karen Gonzales

March 27, 1950 — October 16, 2011

Karen Gonzales, age 61 of Schertz, TX, passed away on October 16, 2011. Karen is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew John Beard, Sr. and Frances Winona Beard and her brother, Andrew John Beard, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Justine Hernandez & son-in-law, Humberto Hernandez, Jr. of Schertz, TX; son, Justin Damian Gonzales & daughter-in-law, Mandi Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX; brother, Cheyenne Beard of Canyon Lake, TX and grandsons, Phoenix Nathaniel Gonzales and Dominic Xavier Vandervort. Karen formerly cared for children at her home. She enjoyed spending time with her family, rubber-stamping, working puzzles and reading. Karen was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:30 PM on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at St. Pius X Church Family Center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Karen's grandson's scholarship fund. Donations may be made for Phoenix N. Gonzales at Security Service FCU under Acct# 5651284000.
