June Boswell

June 1, 1931 — July 22, 2018

June Maxine Boswell, age 87, passed away on July 22, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas with her husband, son and daughter by her side. June was born in Mathis, Texas on June 1, 1931 and lived a full and happy life. After graduating from Mathis High School in 1948, she worked for the Corpus Christi Power and Light Company. While in Corpus Christi she met the love of her life William "Bill" Boswell who was stationed there while in the Navy. They were married on August 17, 1956, and traveled the country and world together, living in Japan, Texas, California, Rhode Island, and Maine. When Bill retired from the Navy in 1972, they settled in San Antonio, Texas. June and Bill liked to travel and Ruidoso, NM was one of June's favorite destinations. June was a loving wife, mother and "Nana" who enjoyed doting on her grandchildren and her little dog Daisy.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Alma Wren; sister, Charlotte Petrie. June is survived by her loving husband William Boswell; sisters Joan Rouse and Mazie Hess; son David Boswell and wife Elizabeth, daughter Karen Cannon and husband Mark; Grandchildren Brittany Boswell, Matthew Boswell, Michael Boswell, Christy Dilly and husband Ben, and Rachel Cannon.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite charity.
Her ashes will be interred at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. The interment service will be held with a small gathering of family at a later date.
