Julia Robison, age 70, of 509 Winburn Avenue in Schertz, resided at Alamo Heights Health and Rehab, passed away on October 29th, 2022.
She was a long-time resident of Schertz and graduated from SCHS in 1970. She was employed by Anderson Merchandisers for many years, retiring in 2014. Over the time that she was employed there she was awarded many service awards as well as individual “Good Job” awards.
She was born in Lubbock Texas on May the second, 1952. Her parents were Laura and Charles Ehring.
I first met Julie in the 7th grade when we attended Wiederstein Junior High School. I remember the first time we met I thought that she had the prettiest green eyes that I had ever seen. She was fun loving and always willing to help anyone that needed it. Eventually, she married one of my best friends, Paul Long, and she made a wonderful family.
They were married for many years and had two children, Charles and Laura. She graduated from Samuel Clemens High School in 1970.
She loved collecting teapots and growing African violets. Her favorite color was blue and she loved the smell of baking bread and puppies breath. She loved the simple things in life and she loved her family with all of her heart. Her two best friends, Pam and Norma, were her family too and she loved them like sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Alan Robison of Schertz, her son Charles Long, her daughter Laura Marcantel, her sister Susan Ganzy and her brother Ed Ehring. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christopher, Julianne, and Ruby and Paul. She is also survived by her great grandson Layne.
Heaven has gained another angel and I know that she will join that heavenly choir and sing His praises.
