Julia Kara, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother & great-great-grandmother, age 95 of Schertz, Texas went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, January 28, 2009. She was born to Stephen & Mary (Vichazi) Yuhas on December 9, 1913 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Julia is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Stephen Kara. She is survived by her only daughter, Julia Kurtz & husband, Gene of Universal City, Texas; grandchildren, Loretta Hesse & husband, Jack of Austin, Texas, Stephen Kurtz of Corpus Christi, Texas, Nola Ann Bingham & husband, Skip of Houston, Texas and Guy Kurtz & wife, Tracy of New Braunfels; great-grandchildren, Kelly Stephenson & husband, Jim, Jeffrey Hesse, Angela Marlett & husband, James, Mark Kurtz & wife, Jennifer, Daniel Bingham, Alison, Bingham, Amanda Kurtz and Sarah Kurtz and great-great-grandchildren, Katelyn Stephenson & Grant Stephenson. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Good Shepherd Catholic Church Building Fund. 1065 Live Oak Road Schertz, Texas 78154. We little knew that morning that God was going to call your name In life we loved you dearly In death we do the same It broke our hearts to lose you You did not go alone For part of us went with you The day God called you home You left us beautiful memories Your love is still our guide And though we cannot see you You will always be by our side Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same But as God calls us one by one The chain will link again.
