Judith Pretty

August 8, 1941 — December 26, 2014

Judith Carol "Judie" Pretty, born on August 8, 1941, passed away on December 26, 2014, at the age of 73. Judie was an Administrative Assistant for the Pontiac Silverdome for 14 years, retiring in 1999. She was an avid gardener in her younger years and she loved to read, scrapbook, knit and crochet. Judie loved pets and volunteered as a foster for 2 years in Schertz, Texas. Her biggest joy though was spending time with her family and friends. Her parents, Albert and Evelyn, brothers, Michael and Sonny, and sister, Doris, preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Steven Pretty and his wife, Susan, of Fowlerville, Michigan; daughter, Laura Peebles and her husband, Ken, of Schertz, Texas; grandchildren, Katarina Pretty of Fowlerville, Michigan and Krista Peebles of Schertz, Texas. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Schertz Funeral Home, from 5:00PM-9:00PM, with a Celebration of Judie's Life to begin at 6:30PM, Bishop David M. Copeland and Elder Stanley H. Marshall officiating. All services will conclude in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judie's name to the Homes for Pets/Schertz Humane Society, P.O. Box 605, Schertz, Texas 78154.
