Joy Caroline Swenson (Stephenson), age 81, passed away October 31, 2009 in Schertz, Texas. Joy was born February 18, 1928 in Smiths Parish, Bermuda. Joy was preceded in death by her parents; Ernest Ronald Stephenson & Mary Magdalene Stephenson; husband Stanley Wallace Swenson; and granddaughter, Nicole Williams Urias. She is survived by her son; Steven E. Swenson & daughter-in-law, Suellen Lytle Swenson of Schertz, TX.; grandchildren, Erika Allen of New Braunfels, TX., Ryan Swenson of San Antonio, TX., and Kimberley Bowers of Schertz, TX.; great grandchildren, Eric Swenson and Rylee Allen of New Braunfels, TX., Emma Swenson of San Antonio, TX., Kharma Bowers and Jocilyn Williams of Schertz,TX. Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2009, followed by Funeral Services at 12:00 p.m. at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel, Schertz, Texas. Interment to follow immediately at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
