Joy Corcoran

Joy Corcoran, beloved child of Joseph L.A. and Mae Lorraine (Peck) Millon, was born on February 5, 1927 in Hinsdale, Illinois. She passed away on February 11, 2017 in Deland, Florida, at the age of 90. Joy was a former resident of Cibolo, Texas and had moved to the Florida area after retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Roy Corcoran on February 3, 2005 and her daughter, Lorelle Smith on March 20, 2013. She is survived by her daughters, Sheryl Curry of Newburgh, Indiana and Merylee O'Meara of San Jose, California, her brother, Jerome Millon of Waikoloa, Hawaii, as well as 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. Joy was a graduate of the University of Texas, a Registered Nurse and the former director of the Student Health Center at UTSA. She was a Charter Member of the San Antonio Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. Joy will be interred privately with her beloved husband at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
