Joshawn Tyree Thomas passed away peacefully on September 28, 2020 at the age of 15.
Joshawn was born in San Antonio ,Texas on January 10, 2005. Joshawn loved watching the animated series Ben 10, soccer, climbing trees and playing with his favorite cousin, Brandin. On October 30, 2009, Joshawn sustained a traumatic brain injury due to a car accident. Despite his injuries , he was still able to enjoy life with family and friends. He traveled to Disney World, he went on camping trips, and he loved to visit Morgan’s Wonderland.
Joshawn is survived my his loving and devoted mother, Shatoree Thomas; his sister Braxton; Nana(grandmother) Patricia Thomas; his great-grandmother, Annie Bell Ray; his aunts Kitina Thomas and Brandi Harris ( Shun); cousins Brajahn, Brittani, Brandin, Briyanna and Aleczander, and host of other family members too numerous to name. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Billy Joe Thomas. Despite his short time on this earth he was deeply loved and impacted everyone around him. Joshawn Tyree will be forever loved and remembered.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 03, 2020 at 2:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers , the family wishes donations to be made in honor of Joshawn to the organizations that made his life more fulfilling, Thank you.
