Josephine Vielma

Josephine Vielma, born April 26 1923 in Kingsbury, TX, passed away on June 29, 2018 in San Antonio, TX at the age of 95. Josephine was also known by her loving family and friends as; Pepa, Ita, Mama Jo, Mrs. V, Tita, and Nina. She is preceded in death by her husband Viviano Vielma, parents Santiago and Manuela Rios; siblings Augustin Rios, Santos Rios, Guadalupe Rios, Jesse Rios, Gregory Rios, and Valentine Rios. Josephine is survived by her daughter Olivia Hinojosa (Ricardo), brother, Daniel Rios (Rosie Symerski), sister, Connie Flores (Raul); grandchildren, Monica Lanning (James), Carmen Chaparro (Javier), and Richard Hinojosa (Lindsay); great- grandchildren, James Lanning, Brian Lanning, Robert Lanning (Hannah), David Chaparro, and Caroline Chaparro. A Vigil will be held at the Schertz Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, 11:30am at Good Shepherd Catholic Church with the interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
