Josephine Mimi Dormer passed away on September 29, 2010 at 91 years of age. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on October 1, 2010 at Osborn Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Church at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 2, 2010 with Interment to follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Josephine was a lifelong resident of Shreveport, LA. She was a devout catholic and a charter member of St. Josephs Catholic Church. Her faith and her family were very important to her. She also loved the many children she cared for throughout the years. She was a loving Mimi to all those who knew her. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, James Dormer and by her grandson, Robert Tal Atkins III. She is survived by her daughters, Judyann Miller and husband, Ralph and Patricia Atkins and husband, Robert; grandchildren, Amanda Atkins, Carol Ann Nadeau and husband, Adrian and Ryan Miller and wife, Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Mikaila, Graceyn and Avery James Nadeau and her brother, Charles Brocato. The family requests that memorials be made in lieu of flowers to St. Judes Research Hospital for children.
