Joseph Tice

Joseph Edward Tice, 48, of New Braunfels, passed away in his home on April 29, 2011. Joe was born to Ralph and Virginia (Roach) Tice in Wabasha, Minnesota on August 9, 1962. Joe married Ellen Catherine (Cathy) Hudnall in 1980 and they had two sons. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed working, hunting, bowling, playing football, and was a long distance runner for over 30 years, but his passion was fishing at Canyon Lake. Joe worked at Technos in Schertz, TX for 15 years, as a machinist and welder. He often spoke of his job and the many friends he worked with and thought of them all as family. He is survived by his sons, Charles Tice of Canyon Lake, TX, Cory Tice of Leakey, TX; mother, Virginia Tice (Roach) of New Braunfels, TX; brothers, Gene (Dawn) Tice of Burnsville, Minnesota, Bill (Sharon) Tice of Plainview, MN, Andrew Tice of New Braunfels; sisters, Ginger Tice, Julie Tice, Patti ( James) Tanksley, and Linda Moor; his longtime love, Tracy Nicholson and her two daughters, all of New Braunfels, TX and many nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy; father, Ralph; sister, Nancy Sheehan (Tice) and his grandparents, Ted and Virginia Klassen of St. Charles, MN. Joe was loved as a son; father, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 10:00 am.
