Joseph Curro, Jr.

Joseph C Curro Jr., 81 of San Antonio, Texas, joined his wife Janet on March 31, 2018. He was born June 5, 1936, to Joseph and Clara (Murabito) Curro, in Oswego, New York. Joseph began working at Papertronics as a machine operator before being promoted to Union Steward and eventually becoming one of the plant supervisors.

Growing up with his cousin Fred Murabito, he loved stylish cars, fast motorcycles and getting into mischief. He continued his passion into adulthood with his many motorcycles, snowmobiles and boats. He kept current with fashion and had a wicked sense of humor.

After his motorcycle accident in 1978, the family relocated to sunny San Antonio, Texas where he and his wife Janet enjoyed their new home with family and friends. When Janet retired they started a small retail business, Pause for Paws. They enjoyed traveling and visiting with her brother and sister in law, James (Ski) and Shannon, who helped get them into their business adventure.

The couple loved animals and always had their special pet. He enjoyed feeding his feral kitties every morning and they supported the Humane Society.

Joseph had a passion for life. He was honest and a man of his word. He was a good Husband and a great Dad! Joseph worked hard and treated people with respect. He will be missed. Good bye Dad, tell Mom we said hello...

Joseph is survived by his sons, William Curro and wife Barbara of Schertz, Texas, Donald Curro and Timothy Curro of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Robert Curro and wife Janice; brother-in-law, James (Ski) Zischke; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 4:00PM-8:00PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home. The family would like to give a special thank you to Scotty and Artie, two of Mom's closest friends who helped us through challenging times.
