Johnny Lee Thornhill passed with peace and surrounded by love on

, at the age of 59. He was born August 5
th
, 1958 to Travis and Rosa Lee Thornhill in Clifton, Tx. The legacy he leaves behind is a faith that failed not and worship God no matter the circumstance. He was never without a joke to lighten any situation, a means to fix anything broken, or devotion to his family. He married the love of his life, Marlene Thornhill, on March 15, 1997 in Roswell, NM. He was a truck driver for Schwerman, but also a highly skilled mechanic and all-around handyman- just like Marlene prayed God would send her. He loved to bake and his cinnamon rolls from scratch were a favorite of many. He wrote songs full of praise and love for Jesus. He was very active in his church. Everything he did, he liked done impeccably; from the meticulous cleaning of his 18-wheeler to how the dishwasher was loaded and unloaded. He was preceded in death by his father Travis Thornhill, his brother Travis Thornhill Jr., and his son Michael Thornhill. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Marlene Thornhill and his mother Rosa Lee Thornhill; and his sons Jeremy Thornhill and wife Amber, Shawn Frye and wife Sarah, and Tristan Thornhill; daughters Christina Daniel, and Dezoree Henry and husband Bruce. He has 5 adoring grandkids who think the world of their papa; Myra Thornhill, Alyssa Doughty, Alexandria Frye, Brianna Henry and Kaleb Henry. He is also survived by his siblings; Patricia Light, Terry Thornhill, Janet Welch, Everett Thornhill, Dewayne Thornhill and Darrell Thornhill and their spouses and kids. He will be missed by his church family at Faith Apostolic Church. The family will receive friends at Schertz Funeral Home on

in Selma, Tx. Officiated by Pastor Joel Featherstone. Interment will follow at Hill Country Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Thornhill, Shawn Frye, Tristan Thornhill, Dewayne Thornhill, Matthew Featherstone, John Mark Macglauclan, and Joe Faubion as an honorary pallbearer.
