John Stark

February 21, 1944 — June 30, 2020

John Leroy Stark was born on February 21, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas and went to be with the Lord, surrounded by his family, on June 30, 2020 at the age of 76.

John will be best remembered for his love of his family, good sense of humor, amazing fried chicken, strong work ethic and meticulous notes.

John was a devoted husband to the love of his life, Helen Ann Stark; father to Lisa Greene with husband Patrick Greene, Brian Stark with wife Emily Stark, Natalie Ashcraft with husband Logan Ashcraft, Johnna Stark with wife Summer Stark; grandfather to Matt, Jimmy, Ashley, Taylor, Tori, Emma, Lauren, Aaron, Harper, Ellie and Ivy. He is survived by siblings, Dana Mynier, Betty Ford with husband Clay Ford, Barbara Pheiffer with husband Archie Pheiffer, Mike Stark and wife Doris Stark, and numerous nieces and nephews.

John’s Memorial Service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at First Baptist Church in Universal City. A reception with lunch will be held at the church immediately following the service
