John C. Roop, born on April 3, 1930, passed-away on July 24, 2020 at the age of 90. John proudly served in the United States Air Force for 26 years. After traveling around United States with their young family, John and his wife, Virginia decided to make Schertz, TX home. Together they were faithful members of First Baptist Church of Universal City. John is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Roop; sisters, Janette Bridwell and Mable Neeley. He is survived by his sons, John Thomas Roop, Ronald Roop and Jeffrey Roop; brother, Cleude Roop. A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Monday, August 17, 2020 at 10:00AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
