John Mendiola

John Henry Mendiola went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July, 12, 2018. John was born on April 16, 1967, in San Antonio, Texas. During his school years, he loved playing football. John graduated from Angelo State University and was employed by the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed many interests, some of which were, horse racing, going to the beach, watching football and cheering for the Spurs. John was always very supportive and encouraging and a big brother to everyone. There are no words to express how much he will be missed.

John is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Diane; parents, Juan and Alma Mendiola; sister, Lisa Mendiola House; brother, Michael Mendiola; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Abraham and JoAnn Montez, Joe Hogeda Jr. and Jimmy Hogeda; nieces, Sarah Mendiola, Karris House and Kaelen House; nephews, Gabriel Montez, Jacob Mendiola, Jonah Hogeda, Josiah Hogeda and Josef Hogeda.

Visitation will be from 6-9 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 7 PM on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, July 19, 2018 at St.Patrick Catholic Church - 1114 Willow Street, San Antonio, Texas.
