It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of John D. Johnson II. John passed peacefully at The AM Veterans Hospital in San Antonio.
John retired from the Navy in April of 1987 after serving in Vietnam. Mr. Johnson was awarded with the First Good Conduct award, Navy Expeditionary Metal, Multinational Force Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, And Joint Metorious Unit Award.
John was a lifer in the Motorcycle Club, The Gypsies.
John was preceded in death by his wife and partner of twenty years, Beverley Anne Cook-Johnson only two years ago.
John is survived by a son, John Johnson III, and three step Children, Christopher Louis Cook (Jenn), Jarred Cook, (Savannah), and Curtis Cook of San Francisco. And three grand children; Mason Schertz, Emerald Cook, and Everley Cook.
A Visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on May 18th from 5pm to 9pm.
The Graveside Service will be the next day on May 19th at 10:45 AM at Pavilion number five in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, in San Antonio where he will be laid to rest.
