John Gondos

John Joseph Gondos, 55, of Universal City died Monday, February 8, 2010. John was born April 15, 1954 to Emil and Rose Gondos. He earned a B.S. in English/Public Relations from the University of Pittsburg in 1984. He completed a career as an Army Officer in 1999. In 1991 he married the former Jennifer Jester. After completing the preacher training program at the Memphis School of Preaching in Memphis, TN in 2003, he served as the full-time minister for the Tunica Church of Christ in Tunica, MS. He and his wife relocated to the San Antonio area in 2008, where they were both active members of the Schertz Church of Christ. John was most recently employed by the U.S. Army Medical Department Center at Ft. Sam Houston. His interests were magic and Pickleball. John will be remembered for his love of God and Gods Word and his gift for easily making friends. John is survived by his wife Jennifer and seven siblings from Philadelphia, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Johns memory be made to the Amerindian Mission Fund. A memorial service will be held at 9:30, Wednesday, February 17th, at the Main Post Chapel, 1605 Wilson Way, Ft. Sam Houston, Texas. Interment, with full military honors, will follow at 11:00 at Ft.
