John Fly

February 6, 1945 — May 22, 2015

John L. Fly, born on February 6, 1945, passed away on May 22, 2015 at the age of 70. John spent 30 years in the Air Force retiring in 1993. He then worked in aircraft maintenance for 11 years at Randolph Air Force Base. He had many hobbies including gardening, fishing and golfing with his friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Maude and Eugene Fly; son, Allen W. Fly; brothers, Roy and William Fly. John is survived by his wife, Ruth Fly; son, Frank Fly; daughters-in-law, Giovanna Fly and Supinda Fly; grandchildren, John Allen Fly, Jessica Hamilton, Jacqueline Fly, Andres Fly, Giovanna Fly and Francesca Fly; siblings, Rhonda Myers, Mary Hess and Jeanne Mitchell. He will be truly missed. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Schertz Funeral Home 3:00PM - 7:00PM.
