John Dunivan

April 13, 1948 — January 15, 2015

John Lee Dunivan passed away in New Braunfels, Texas on January 15, 2015 at the age of 66. John was born in Rapid City, South Dakota to Herbert and Eva Dunivan on April 13, 1948 He is survived by his loving wife of almost 46 years, Mary Dunivan; son, John and fiancé, Abby; son, Ryan and wife, Devin; grandchildren, Skyler, McKenzie, Zachary, Gage, Jackson, Hannah, and Cooper; 3 brothers and their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews. John was a United States Army Veteran and proudly served 32 years in the San Antonio Fire Department as a firefighter and paramedic. He was an avid sailor, music enthusiast, loved to spend time in Gruene and enjoyed the outdoors. John was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 from 4:00PM - 8:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Schertz Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00AM with interment to follow at Selma Cemetery #1.
