John Bovaird

John Thomas Bovaird passed into the arms of Jesus on October 9th, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.  John was born in Rochester, NY on June 14, 1939, and is preceded in death by his sister Diane and his mother Julia.

John was in the Marine Corps from December 1956 until December 1962, where he served as a Lance Corporal. Following his service in the Marines, he attended North Texas University and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

John’s education and enthusiasm landed him jobs with Chase Bank and the FBI, where he worked as a fraud examiner. He loved his work and continued to accept contracts with other financial entities for many years after he retired.

John had many friends and enjoyed a lifestyle of healthy eating and fitness. He was a football coach, personal trainer, and held several titles as a semi professional body builder. Later in life, he wrote two books on health and fitness, which were both published.

John leaves behind two sons, John (married to Pam) and Marc (married to Lori) Bovaird, seven granddaughters, and eleven great grandchildren. His greatest joy in life was spending time surrounded by his family.

John will be laid to rest at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery. Date and time pending.
