JoAnn Francis Weiss, born September 6, 1956, in Kenedy, TX, passed away peacefully in her sleep, on January 17, 2021 in San Antonio, TX at the age of 64. JoAnn is preceded in death by her by her loving parents, Fryderyk and Catherine Krawietz and Grandparents. Her beloved brother, Fryderyk and precious sisters Doris, Barbara and Elizabeth. She is survived by her children April Chapman, son in law, Matthew Chapman and son, Robert Hallam and daughter in law, Courtney Hallam. Her adored Grandchildren, Neveah, Daisy, Daniel, William, Robert, Juliette, Indigo, Benjamin and Hudson. Her cherished sisters, Victoria Keilman, Louise Avent, Patricia Campa, Theresa Jonas and Fredericka Rands. She also leaves behind several treasured cousins, nephews, nieces and in-laws. JoAnn was a woman of faith, with a kind soul, who loved her family deeply. She had a quirky sense of humor and a strong sense of adventure. She was an animal lover and really enjoyed horseback riding. JoAnn’s work here is done. She led a long, full life. Her new mission takes her to a wonderful place where she will be riding horses, dressing up, socializing, dancing, singing and reading to her heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed.
Rosary will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 10:30am followed by the funeral mass at 11:00am, both taking place at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 16075 N Evans Road, Selma, TX 78154. Father Jeff Pehl will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery No. 2. Pallbearers are Fred and Robert Hallam, Gary Phillips, JR Jonas, William Campa and Jordan Magana. Memorial donations may be made to Schertz Funeral Home, located at 2217 Roy Richard Drive, Schertz Texas 78154. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
