Joann Laurie Ferguson, 49, of Marion, Texas, passed away Friday, August 9, 2013. Joann was born in Munich, Germany on February 12, 1964; the daughter of John Perry and Beverly Heinsohn. Joann worked for the City of Schertz for 18 years. She loved to sew and create things for her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family camping and fishing along with some shopping for her kids and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Kenneth Thomas; her father John Perry and step-mother Nancy Perry, and her stepfather Hilbert Heinsohn; her two sons Marvin Ferguson Jr., Edward Brooks Jr. and her stepson Kenneth Thomas Jr.; her three siblings Janet Espinoza, Joyce Holt and John Perry Jr.; four grandchildren Taylor and Tanner Thomas & Madison and Mason Ferguson; one great grandchild Logan Thomas; along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Beverly Heinsohn. Memorial service will be held on Monday August 19, 2013 from 6-9pm at the Schertz Civic Center in the ballroom.
