Joan Ellen Allen was born February 1, 1961 and passed away on March 3, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 54. Joan is preceded in death by parents, James and Edith Fink. She is survived by Husband, Lannie G. Allen; daughter, Lauren Allen; son, Hayden Allen; sister, Karen Fink and brother, Tony Fink. Joan received a Bachelor of Science degree from New Hampshire College and was the Financial Secretary at First Baptist Church in Universal City, Texas, where she also was very involved as College and Youth Worker. Family will receive friends at Schertz Funeral Home 6:00PM - 8:00PM on Friday, March 6, 2015. A Celebration of Life Service will be 4:00PM Monday, March 9, 2015 at the First Baptist Church, Universal City, Texas and will be officiated by David Lindow, Jr., Senior Pastor. A Graveside Service will be 10:45AM, Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, Texas.
