Jimmy Cloud

December 31, 1943 — February 5, 2020

He was born on a farm and Lovelady Texas on December 31, 1943. He was delivered by midwife name Annie Vondra and named after big Jimmy Vondra. He came into this world a surprise to Milledge Bonard Cloud and Ollie Sanders Cloud. He was the spitting image of his mama and shared her steel gray eyes. He was the last of eight babies born on the last day of the year at the last hour of the day. He made it to his 76th birthday. He served his country in the Army over 20 Years with 12 campaigns in the Vietnam war.

We will miss the way he would restart a story from weeks ago with “anyways…“ And you never knew exactly where he was starting in a story.  It was as if time stood still since you last saw him. And this is the hardest part, the waiting until we see him again.

He came into this world is surprise but we were not shocked at his passing. Anyone could see the shell of a once larger than life man. He could no longer care for his family in his earthly body. While we thought he was sun,  we were actually the center of his world.  He leaves behind a family that loves him. His wife, Diep, his oldest daughter, Tonya Cloud Hope, her husband Chris Hope, his grandson Cory Hope, his youngest daughter, Cindy Heatwole, her husband, Caleb Heatwole, grandsons Harrison & Luke, and his granddaughter Grace Elizabeth and his sister, Thala Hooks
