Jim Morgan

Jim D. Morgan, formerly of Oklahoma City, and Choctaw, Oklahoma was born on March 14, 1930, and passed away on October 24, 2014 in Cibolo Texas, at the age of 84. Jim attended Oklahoma University where he began his life-long career as a geologist, working for several oil companies including his own business. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed baseball. As a young man, he was a Golden Gloves boxer. He loved spending time with his many siblings, grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Vera Morgan, son, Jim Bo' Morgan, sister, Vera Mae Mays, and brothers, Benny and Bobby Guy Morgan. He is survived by his daughter, Caroline Moody and her husband Bill of Cibolo, TX, Doris Greenstreet and her husband John of Cypress, TX; siblings, Fred Morgan of Denison, TX, Bill Morgan of Longview, TX and Doris Palmer of Baypoint, CA; grandchildren, Joshua Morgan of Oklahoma City, OK, Morgan Greenstreet of Phoenix, AZ, James Greenstreet of Cypress, TX; five great-grandchildren, Danielle Morgan of Oklahoma City, OK, Ivy Morgan of Shawnee, OK, Drakus Morgan, Madeline Morgan, and Archer Morgan; and one great-great-grandchild, Skylar Morgan, all of Oklahoma City, OK. He was loved by, and will be missed by all who knew him. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 1st, 2014 at 11:00AM at Memorial Park Historic Chapel, 13400 North Kelley Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73131, with Kent Risley officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to the Alzheimer's Association or The American Cancer Society.
