Jesusa "Susie" Perez, born on November 18, 1927 in San Marcos, Texas went to be with the Lord on August 12, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 86. Jesusa is preceded in death by her spouse, Gavino J. Perez; parents, Francisco and Luisa Garcia; and her brothers, Federico Garcia and Juan Garcia. She is survived by her daughter, Eva Huey and husband Gary; son, Gavino Perez, Jr. and wife Ruth; son, Ramon Perez and wife Gracie; grandchildren, Carlos Perez and wife Sara, Rita Lambert and husband Peter, Travis Huey, Daniel W. Perez and Raven Perez; great-grandchildren, Emma Perez, Charles Perez, and Perry Lambert. She is also survived by 3 sisters, 2 brothers, numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members, and a host of friends. A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 17, 2014 from 2:00PM to 9:00PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, August 18, 2014, at 9:00AM at St. Monica's Catholic Church, 501 North Street, Converse, Texas. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jesusa "Susie's" memory may be made to the Charity of your choice.
