Jesus Arenas

Jesus Joe Arenas, born March 4, 1943 in Converse, TX, passed away on November 5, 2017 at his home in Marion, TX, at the age of 74. Jesus loved being outdoors and spending time with his family, and had a great love for animals. He is preceded in death by his parents Jose and Aurelia Arenas; brothers, Frank, Raymond, Robert, and Hector. Jesus is survived by his sons, Jesse Jr., Jerry, Gilbert and Bobby Arenas; daughters Sally, Mary Lou, Tammy Arenas and Kimberly Carleton; sisters, Olga and Olivia; 25 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be conducted on Friday, November 10, 2017, 12:00noon, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Selma, TX, with the interment to follow at Selma Cemetery No. 1.
